So how long do you think it will take to get the magic in the US. Unlocked of course, but standard would be really nice :D. I believe that the Vodaphone network is that of a GSM network, and if that's so, it can be unlocked and would be compatible with other networks........ such as T-Mobile! Whatcha think?

I live in Illinois. We dont know really know what 3g is. i kind of tasted it once when i went up to chicago. Sh*t....from looking at tmobiles coverage locator on their website, only oakland and northern flordia can recieve tmobiles 3g service. Please somone, correct me if im wrong.

That's not correct. They started in NYC and I think they are in 30 some markets now. I am in the Boca/Ft Lauderdale area and have pretty good 3g coverage. Someone posted an interview with a t-mo bigwig the other day, and in it he implied that T-mo would be in most major markets by years end. He did not give specifics for any cities though.

Vodafone not vodaphone (sorry pedantic I know) uses

Technology: GSM 900/1800 in the UK/ Europe and obviously UMTS (3G) networks
