Android Market app gone?

[Bigfoig]

So my android market app is gone, and I don't know what happened. I haven't updated anything so it shouldn't have been removed. I didn't download anything very large either, so what happened to it?

They changed the name. See if you have Google Play now.

I had the same problem. My Market app is gone. It wasnt replaced with Google Play. How can I download it? I looked everywhere for it even on Google.Play.com. Cant find a download link or prompt. Im so unimpressed with the lack of directions and lack of info given to us users with the changes!

Look through your apps it will be called "Play Store" this was an automatic update by Google they re-branded there market website.

What if it really is gone? I had to restore the factory settings and now the market app or google play or whatever is not reinstalled

If you’re jonesing for a replica of the original, there’s Market - Android app on AppBrain. I haven’t tried it, no idea if it’s for real. Meanwhile, I prefer AppBrain anyway.

As Go Navy said, I think it is listed under P's in your app drawer for Playstore.
