ok, i have a problem with my market... i cant find some apps which is getting pretty annoying... i know these apps exist because they are available on the online android market... i think this is because i recently had the 'starting download' problem so i cleared the cache n uninstalled market updates, so now i have the old version of the market... is there a solution for this, how to i get the newer market version? or can i just delete the one i have n install a new market apk?
the ones i wanted to get were 'software data cable' and 'ripple lock'.... i shall try using appbrain..
Ok, I'm getting the same issue and I'm sure it's because I'm loading the same software using the same Google account on several Xooms for classroom use. Not knowing a better method for installing the same educational apps on 84 Xooms, I started by creating a Google account that I add to a couple at a time and go through and install the apps via the Market. It had been working fine for about the first 20 but now I get "Error downloading xxxx. Xxxxx could not be downloaded." every time I try to download (through the Market) on any Xoom, including my finished ones. I know I have my google account locked up somehow, but I don't know how to fix it. Any ideas, or should I just create another Google account and push on from there?
First. This the forum section for Sony Xperia x10s. I don't know what a XOOM is.
If I were you I would try installing other apps from the Market. Sometimes some apps don't work. Even apps that have been downloaded millions of times, like Handcent. It had a dead link on the market for 2 days.
If I were you I would find the apps APK I wanted to install and then copy the xxxx.APK onto the phone. Then with a File Manager/navigator. I would open the xxxx.APK and run and install it. Not using the market at all.
If I had to use the market. I would create a real email account for each phone. Number each phone and create an account for each. But that sounds way too long. The APK way would be the quickest.
Reboot if you haven't tried. Try from a different network (WIFI or over 3G)
You're missing the very important fact that he's having this problem across multiple devices and if you've seen any of the multitude of threads about this issue on the internet you'd know that people haven't awakened yet to the significance of that fact, given how most suggested "fixes" deal with the individual device and think locally. This is not a local issue, and in my case it doesn't matter which app you're attempting to download or update. My tablet AND my phone (different carriers, same google account) are both unable to download or update via the market. They both started having this problem at the same time so obviously clearing the cache on one or the other, or any such similar nonsense, isn't going to do anything.
I tried to fix my phone by clearing the cache in market and then clearing data in the download manger, the result is a completely bricked phone. I can't get anything out of it now, won't start no matter what combo of uttons, battery load and aunload. no matter what I do the phone won't show a pulse at all. I don't know if I can get a new phone or not but I have got to give it a try.
does anyone have some magic thing to do that might get this phone to even blink?
