Help Android Market Error -101

janet3676

Lurker
I've had my android phone for only a month or so. I've downloaded a few things from the Market - and now, when I try and download more, I get a message "could not be downloaded due to an error (-101)". This has been going on for over a week. What can I do? Any help is much appreciated!

I got that error today on the flash update from the market.
I basically ignored it. I went back to the list of my apps in the market and clicked on the flash app again and clicked on update. Was fine after that.

I have galaxy S. I am gettin this error for two weeks. I cant remove the google account unless I reset to factory settings but I dont want to loose all my stuff. Im not hreat with the phone
:(

Why can't you remove the account?

You need to check that the market account says @googlemail.com (Or whatever you used) and not @gmail.com.

I had this issue and noticed the difference. Deleted the account and re-added it properly and now works fine with no issues.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I just get a message saying that if i want to remove the account i have to restore factory settings. I'm using gmail, it appeared to be set as default, even when i try loging in as googlemail it appears as gmail. I'm not sure how to change it?
I tried to add another account (also gmail) but doesnt work. Removing cache and cookies didnt work either. How can i change it on the android market to googlemail?
Thanks again for replying.
