Android Market gone?

Hi, after upgrading to ICS I noticed that Android Market had been replaced by Play Store.
Now, whenever I key in a search term, there doesn't appear to be the equivalent of a "return" button, so I can't actually start the search. Also, it appears to hold on to the last app downloaded, thus not letting you do anything else.
I must be missing something simple?

Hi All,
I passed on my Samsung GT-I5500 to my wife and she stopped using data on it for a few months which ment she didnt access the market at all. I now have it back and trying to access the market but keep getting a message saying "cant connect to google server".
I have connection to the web. I have tried it both Wi-Fi and 3G but still get the same answer.
I am using my google account on a blackberry for work also... could this be affecting it?
ANy comments welcome!!!

@tattyjacket - on both my devices, pressing the enter key on the keyboard initiates the search. Been that way since it was still Market. As for last app, just press back to exit the app, and not home key. Its normal for apps to suspend at the last place where you left the app if you press the home key.
