Help Android Market issue - blank black screen

vovs

Newbie
Hi All,
My Galaxy 10.1 Tab's Android Market today claims that the client is out of date and will be updated automatically shortly.
"Your client is out-of-date. It will be automatically updated shortly"

Its been this way for the past 24 hours.
Market on my device has 1.0.28 version.
I clicked on OK but no any result (

Now got update to my Galaxy Tab 10.1 and now have 1.1.0 version. And can run Market.
But my friend have XOOM and there version of market is 3.4.4 and his smartphone have same version - 3.4.4

On AndroidMarket I see that current version of market is 1.1.0 https://market.andro....android.finsky

I downloaded 3.4.4 to my PC, transfer to my Tab & install on there
[Download] Android Market 3.4.4 With Noticeable Speed Improvements

After installation MArket 3.4.4 I use market 3.4.4.
But in ApplicationList I have two versions of market(see attach)
6.32 Mb - it is Version 3.4.4
1.98 Mb - it is Version 1.1.0
(see image below)

But now have issue:(
However, when I go to Apps from the home screen I get a blank black screen(see image below).

To view index page of market I should doing some steps:
Find some app (via find line) and install it.
Or go to downloaded apps and select some installed app...
After this tape on market icon - upper left corner - you should go to index of Market.

How to make to view index page of market without any steps?
Any suggestions?a

My device is Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Android v 3.2

Two versions of market:

1. Uninstall 3.4.4 as it is not for tablets.
2. Clear cache and force close Market.
3. Start Market again and wait for the Accept terms and conditions window to appear.

I had exactly the same thing as you yesterday and it is not a major problem.

I had the same thing happen. I forgot exactly what I did but I did get around it and it updated market and about a dozen apps at once. I think I clicked on something in the menu button.
Now when I go to the market and choose something to download it just sits there and says waiting to install. But nothing happens.

This latest update seems to fix the stalled app download problem that tablet users have been having since the previous Market update. Ironically, the update itself fell victim to the stall, as evidenced by the "Your client is out-of-date. It will be automatically updated shortly" message that doesn't go away on its own. The usual "fix" I've had to resort to for stalled app downloads also fixed this stalled update. That is, toggle wifi off and then back on again. I haven't had the problem since I did this latest update yesterday (ditto for my wife's tablet).

Thanks, guys!
What version of market have you on your tablet now?

My friend has XOOM, and there market is 3.4.4 - market updated over WiFi..
But my Galaxy Tab 10.1 got 1.1.0 over WiFi...

Then what is it for? I'm running it on my tablet after having the same issues as the other people here with the old version, and now this one works perfectly.

my android market on the PC shows "CURRENT VERSION: 1.1.0" REQUIRES ANDROID: 3.0 - 3.2

So, for which devices is Market v.3.4.4?

what if you are not using Wi-Fi but Mobil data? I cannot figure out how to get the market app to deal with this 'client out-of-date' issue.

Exactly the same problem after I upgraded to 3.4.4 -and I am not certain that the friend above who says "this version is for phones, not tablets" is right. If you go to the index page through the (also) above mentioned trick (select an installed app, tap on the main icon of it, tap market icon upper right) you see that market app understands you use a tablet and proposes tablet apps.

I believe this version is for tablets and samsung did a problematic update once again... Or it was not samsung, but google? I am not certain...

Hi guys,
today my galaxy tab told me that new updates is available.
And I downloaded it.
After installation and rebooting tablet told that P7510UEKMP was installed.

So, now my market version is 3.4.4
but trouble with blank black screen isn't fixed.. ((
I am frustrated

Thanks!
