Android Market Issue.

.... When I search for something in the market it is just returning me to the market home screen instead of searching. It was fine a few hours ago but now this, does anyone perhaps have an idea as to the problem and how to rectify it please? I have tried restarting the phone but that has not worked.

If you go to menu>settings>applications>manage applications and find the market app. Tap on it and clear app data, then restart your phone. You will have to re-accept the terms of service, but it should work normally.

market seems to cause no end of problems

seems weird to me that one of the essential core apps is so hopeless:confused:
