Android market missing compatible applications?

I've got an Acer Iconia A500 running Android 3.2 I believe.

Having looked around on the internet I came across a number of games that I thought might be quite good, examples would be Fifa 2011 or Pro Evolution Soccer 2011. When I visit the market however both these games are listed as 'Not supported on your device'. However every website I've seen says they are supported and there are numerous videos of these games running on my device.

Am I doing something wrong? Why are these items missing when everything suggests they should be there? I've not rooted or done anything funny with my tablet...

My understanding is that most these games have in their manifest file a list of supported OS versions. You may need a OS bump, what are you currently running? Also try contacting the dev directly and ask if other mobile users that have your handset and OS version are having issues. It's not their job to trouble shoot your device, but they can tell you first hand what they are supporting.

Also it's been my experience that often times even when an app isn't supported if you get it through another avenue (amazon store sometimes) it will in fact work. I haven't heard of any errors with complications between the manifest file of the apk on the market and the device. I'm guessing there is a detail missing that makes your device incompatible like you're due for OS update etc.

Go into setting and find your "check for system updates".
