Android Market Nationwide Outage- On Multiple Carriers

I can confirm this as true. My SMS froze up. Would not do anything, even after numerous soft resets. Finally had to do a hard reset. Everything is ok now except for the Marketplace issue. HTC confirmed that there is a problem with the server.

I've been lurking for the past 7 days anticipating the arrival of my Eris. I read a few post on Google's support page about simular problems . My wife got her eris on Tuesday and she is having no problems. I got one today and I can't download anything. I was so excited and now I'm extremely disappointed. I did a soft reset and 2 hard resets. On the second hard reset I setup a new gmail account to see if that would do anything. No luck. I was able to install PDAnet with it tethered. Is there a task manager (or any apps) that I can install while it is tethered?

No, there aren't. At least not from the Marketplace. There MAY be some unofficial apps out there but I wouldn't trust them...
 
k, Market is working again for me. The timing was odd since I had just factory reset and didn't know that Market was down.
