Help Android Market

Does anyone know whether there is something wrong with the Android Market? For a while now I have been experiencing problems with it. I even reset my phone. About 99% of the time when I click on an installed app I get the message: NOT FOUND The requested item could not be found.

This is getting a bit annoying because I generally want to read what is new in the updates of the apps.

Does anyone know what causes this and whether there is a solution?

Thanks

Martin

As far as I know, my Market in Canada is different than the Market in the States and the Market in Hungary....does NZ have their own Market and is it going down all the time?

Maybe see if using AppBrain works any better (even though it links to the market) Download and install Top Android Apps and Games in the Android Market | AppBrain.com from the website or by using the Market when it works. Then sign in using your google account and chose to Sync the app. Then if you want any new apps installed, either open App Brain or go to the website on your computer and check which apps you want. Perform Installs when done.

See if you get any better luck that way.

I guess there might be a way to change your Market.apk to another countries.

Do you have Android 2.1 installed? Hopefully you don't have an old Market installed and it is trying to download apps that are no longer there....

I've been getting this issue lately as well.
I am using stock 2.1 firmware, with the stock Market apk.

I'm not sure what exactly is causing this, but it's getting annoying. Sometimes multiple clicks on an app will eventually open it up. I have discovered that if you Long-Click on an app, and select update, you can still update the app, however I like to read the description to see what's been changed.

A fix for this would be nice...

The only time I have received the error message about the item not being there, is when the item wasn't actually there.

There apk's website was down and not accessible. Other apps updated fine and I was able to download other new apps, just not one or two in particular.

Always could be the app (when an app is in the Market, it is really just a redirect to the actual apk makers website)

After Skyfire was in the news on LifeHacker and CNN, for two days I couldnt install or update from Skyfire....but that was due to heavy traffic and all the buzz about the browser.

Try and narrow down the issue.

Is it just a couple apps and other one's download fine?
