Android Market

Hi guys,

My wife has a 5 month old HTC Desire Z on O2 UK, which up until recently was working fine. However, without warning, she now cannot access Market. Every time she selects Market, she gets a message saying: "The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Then has to force close. Is there a fix for this? My HTC Desire on Virgin PAYG works fine, I can access Market whilst sat next to her when she cannot. We've tried through Wifi but it makes no difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey sy
Go into settings and go to 'applications' then go to 'manage applications'. A list of installed apps will appear. Press on 'market' and press 'clear cache' and try again. If that didn't work then go back to the above steps and press uninstall updates which will take market to an earlier version. Then you can re-update it.
If those didn't work then please inbox me.

Don't mean to hijack your thread but a friend has a similar problem on a Chinese 7 inch tablet he has bought. Market came pre-installed and worked fine for a couple of months but now when you press the Market icon it tries to load but just comes straight back to the screen you were on. Any ideas on what I could try as I have already tried clearing the cache and there were no updates to uninstall? It was running and old version, 1.8.

Had this happen a week or so ago on my Verizon Droid X. My buddy had the same thing, seemed like it was just a Market downtime issue. Next morning, mine was working fine, I didn't do anything.
