Android messed up

Hi guys

I am a newbie, just started messing around with android and rooting phone etc.

I have just unlocked a phone but I have a constant message on the phone screen, which I am not able to get rid off, please see the image below.

1. In root explorer/ES Explorer locate the /efs/imei folder
2. Locate a file called keystr. If it is not there, create it
3. Open keystr in ES explorer and type ON ("ON" IN UPPERCASE)
4. Save
5. Ensure permissons is rwx rwx rwx
6. reboot.
 
also I am getting error while doing a software update:
msg:
Failed to update firmware due to network or server problem.Try software updatevia settings > softwareupdate > update,or try using PC Kies later.

I tried both and I am getting the same error message.
