Android Music Search Accuracy?

Yeah the stock music player on every android phone ive had has left something to be desired. Soooooooo...

Option 1. Search "music player", or "media player" in the market and dl a better one
Option 2. Dl ringdroid. It's search is far more accurate and once you pull up the song you can make any part of it you want into a ringtone or notification

As far as I understand it, Samsung (TouchWiz) phones dont store music data in the MediaStore (the normal place Android apps are supposed to store info about music and video and pictures), so there's nothing to search, they store it in Samsing's proprietary database file.

Your music player isn't the stock player either, it's the Samsung one, but you're using the Google search, so I'm guessing Samsung effed up something with their sync software and the search doesn't even know those songs exist.

So to work around it, I'd drop the Samsung player, and stop syncing with their software and try something else. Also ask in your phone forum they might know more work-arounds
