Okay, I admit I didn't research well BEFORE ordering my G2X. That said, I've had my new (free) G2X about 16 hours and it shuts down constantly. This phone is a lemon. Does not power back up, just shuts off. I've lost track of how many times I've had to pull the battery. (Great on the manicure.) It arrived with the latest software. Anyway, called Tmobile this morning, and it's a known issue (why are they still selling it?) Since I am also a new T-mobile customer, CS's are happy to replace it with a different phone, however, there are no other 4G phones currently offered at the same price, FREE. I was advised to wait until Monday, when the new specials become available.
If I can't replace the phone with an equivalently featured device, I will just cancel everything and go get an iPhone on Verizon and suck up the monthly bill.. I am an iPad user, and that would have been the best choice to begin with since I could sync both devices, but I switched to T-mobile because of the plan pricing and the free phone.
My question is: if I stay with t-Mobile, I would appreciate suggestions on which other phone might work best for me. This is my first smartphone, I've only had dumbphones, and Android is totally new to me (I am a quick study though.) Even though I don't know how to take advantage of all the features as yet, if I'm upgrading and will be stuck with the device for 2 years, I want the latest features.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank you.
