Android newbie to be...

[Andythetallguy]

Hi all,

Just registered to get the heads up on Android before my phone arrives...

Got about another month to go before I leave team iPhone and join team Android!!

Like many others I am going for the HTC Desire, a good phone by all accounts?

So, what do I need to know, what apps do i need to get straight away, and what traps should I avoid?/

Looking forward to it immensely , iPhone just become a bit stale for me now.

Welcome aboard!

The best thing about the phone is that you can customize it to what YOU want! My advice, other than reading stuff for the next month, would be to avoid task killers. Typically they do more harm than good.

Really, I keep seeing advanced task killer as one a lot of people use, why so bad?

Read THIS, and see if that helps.

Aha, makes sense, thanks.

Eyes opened already!

You'll like android. It's a little harder to get used to than the iphone, but once you get used to it you will wonder why you ever used the iphone (all IMO).
