Hey fellow androidforums.com members! I'm just dropping in to say hi. I finally purchased my first Android device (Droid Incredible) and am loving it.
I am a professional software / firmware engineer and am looking forward to finally owning a phone that is "developer friendly". My previous device was the iPhone, and I never could get the motivation to spend 100's of hours developing an awesome app just to have Apple tell me that I wasted my time. I can't wait to get the SDK installed, even if my first app might be nothing more than a "Hello Droid" screen.
And to the owners of this site, thanks! Great place for info.
