Android on RAM

[Cytheria]

Have you guys heard a build of android that Runs completely off the RAM and makes it super fast? From what I have read, all the users are saying that this is the fastest they have ever seen android.

It makes me wonder if manufacturers could do this? A single-core phone running it's OS off RAM would dominate a dual-core phone.

A quote from Darkstone1337, the mastermind behind it:

"What is special about this build is that the entire Android O/S filesystem is stored in RAM before it is booted. What does this mean? Well, RAM is faster than NAND and SD Card which in turn will make the build superfast too"

Does anyone know anymore information about this?

Every option has pros and cons. There aren't any devices with massive amounts of RAM so fitting everything into RAM while still having a usable amount of RAM would be the trick.

It's just like with your PC. You could run everything off a RAM disk to make it faster but you'd have the same balancing act to deal with.
