Android on SD card?

Hi there,

I have a windows 7 tablet and would like to dual boot it with Android.

I'm not overly keen to mess around with the SSD if I can avoid it, so would booting Android form an SD card work at all?

I have a generic windows 7 tablet from China, some of them ship with a dual booting option so I know it can be done, would it be possible to boot android from a card in the same way most linux distros can?

What i want... android 2.2 or later to be installed fully onto an sd card, when i want to run android i just stick it in and reboot.

anybody else tried this?

looking around the web, i think a HD install would be best.

on a side note, how would i go about finding the hardware info from within windows 7 in order to track the right android down?

might be easier just to ask the guys that sell these things
