Android options for Verizon reseller

Hi android phans!

Question for you guys. I work for a small/medium phone company and we are about to start selling cell phone service using Verizon's MVNO product. I think we are acually going to be reselling services bought from a larger resller....

We talked to them and they say they don't really care what phones we put on the network, but the only smartphones we can get directly from the reseller are blackberries (ugh). What android options are out there that we could use on Verizon's network? Any? Even if it wouldn't be viable for all of our customers, we would like to get a few for some of the employees. My boss is upset about having to give up his iPhone and the blackberries are hardly a replacement.

Thanks

Most smartphones are designed to be tied to the network. Both the OS, Handset and Network Operator work together to make that happen.

The reason is the data plan. In the case of Android, I haven't heard of way to use Verizon's data plan with any android phone.

There was a thread or maybe a post somewhere about Tmobile offering a data plan for iPhone users since they had figured out a way to make that work and would rather not lose that business.

And the new SDK 1.6 is suppose to have CDMA capabilities ... so the future use of Carriers using CDMA is possible
