Android or no android?

Hey guys,

I'm planning to buy an android phone with a very tight budget. However, I would use the phone for very heavy music usage especially in college and also for its social networking functions ( FB, twitter, skype etc)

Now I'm wondering, would it be better to get an android for this, or get an ipod touch and just a normal phone. I still can't make up my mind.

Thanks for the help

Depends on if you only want to carry around one device or two. Can Android handle what you described? Absolutely! It integrates into FB really nice and has the capacity for a sizeable amount of music. On top of that you can customize the hell out of it. Android does everything an ipod touch can and more while integrating all your phone functions as well. For example, while listening to music it will pause the music and tell you who is calling. So the question remains, do you want to carry around two devices or just one?

If you say so.. then what phone would you recommend. Do note that I live in Malaysia and I have certain phone which the States have. Would a Wildfire do the work that I want the phone to do as stated in the Opening Thread?

have a spare battery or a charger on hand. music by itself wouldn't be too bad on power usage, but you're doing that on top of running an already busy phone.

hi .. and welcome?

wildfire is a good phone... but it is mid to lower range of power. But i guess your budget is the limit here.

It should work for your needs just fine.
