Help android os battery drain

Up until recently thr battery life has been prettty good. The other day noticed battery was dying faster than normal. Forgot to plug the phone in tonight and battery went from 53% to 8% just sitting on the nightstand. Android os shows 47% and screen is next at 22%. Battery almost dead with a little over 2 hours screen on time. Anyone else have this?

While I don't know for sure, my suspicion is the you were getting iffy 3/4g service (a HUGE battery killer as the phone has to keep "hunting" for signal) and had a bunch of apps/services running in the background (think: Amazon suite, location, sync, weather. email, etc). Try paring some of that down and let us know what happens.

And consider installing something like Juice Defender or Green Power. Lately I've been very happy with Green Power.

Or a 3rd alternative IF you are willing to manage your 3g/4g connectivity manually, is to use Battery Doctor to turn off Data, WiFi, Sync, Bluetooth at night.

I do, and only loose about 4% overnight while sleeping.

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. I shut the phone off and turned it back on and that seem to relieve the problem of the battery draining. Make sure that you close all open apps once your done with them as well.

Yep like you said re started the phone and its back to normal it's was just wierd. Read somewhere else that the s health app could do it so it's disabled as well.
