I have had this for a few weeks and its nice. Dont really use any apps othrr than youtube chrome facebook and twitter. Ive disabled google backup, dont have a google+, only sync 2 gmails and only their mail. My data usage is around 2.5GB of data...yes GB not MB in a few weeks...this is rediculous and ive had to bump my plan to 5gbs for this month...whats wrong?

On mine Android OS has used only about 5% of the total which itself has only been about 0.5GB in ten days. I'm on an unlimited contract so I'm not at all careful how much data I use.
The only way I can think of to find out what's wrong (and it definitely sounds like there is something up) is to use a firewall and see what traffic is flowing or a traffic analyser like WireShark to see what the traffic is made up of. There's got to be a simpler way of doing it than that though.
