Android os eats my battery

Samsung Google Nexus S... everything was fine untill Android OS started to eat my battery. at first it was 20% , then 35% and now it's 89% :confused: what can i do? how can i fix that?
 
How is the actual battery life? I mean if the phone is doing nothing, the consumption meter will obviously register Android OS as highest user because nothing else is using the battery.
