Just set up 2 older android smart phone for my sons this month around Dec 10th.
On ONE of my son's phones, from Dec 12th to 24th, total data usage for the 'app' Android OS, was around 234MB of background data. From Dec 25th to Dec 28th (3 days), background data usage jumped up to 4.3oGB of MOBILE DATA....
WTH!?!?!?!
What is hiding behind Android OS?
This is not the droid I am looking for... something is VERY fishy.
The few apps I put on his phone barely make a dent in the 6GB data plan... but Android OS is reporting a LOT of background data... something ain't right. And it JUST started as of Christmas 2015.
Anyone else see this? Is my son's phone being hacked?
Any suggestions on how to narrow this down further to perhaps more specific processes that may be hiding behind the "Android OS 'app'??
