Android OS on PC

Can I install android system in my desk top computer? and how?
Of course, I mean a new installation on hard disk.

I tested Android-x86 awhile ago and it actually worked, however it could be buggy depending on your computers hardware. Definitely worth a try though

There's always BlueStacks for running droid apps in your PC... I haven't tried it but hear good things about it.
