Recently acquired a Android smartphone; running 4.1.2.
I have my POP mail acct created on my Desktop using Outlook 2007. The desktop is configured to NOT leave messages, so when the desktop downloads my InBox from the server, all messages are removed from the server.
I setup the email acct on my Android phone to access the same POP email.
When I connect with my Android phone to fetch my new messages I get all messages that have NOT as yet been Downloaded to my Desktop. The messages on the Android delete automatically when I download them using my Desktop\Outlook. I therefore have no way to keep new messages on my android phone. What is taking place is the Android Phone is mirroring my email providers server and as soon as I download inBox message to my Desktop and they are gone off the server, they will also be off my Android Phone.
I have contacted my email provider, they advise this has nothing to do with their service, its an Android issue.
I could maybe check Leave messages on server in my Desktop\Outlook configuration but that would result in my InBox server filling up and requiring me to log into the webmail to delete messages......
I just want to find out how to keep messages on my Android Phone.....
