Help Android phone has no "Safely Remove Hardware" icon?

I noticed that when I plugged in the Samsung Galaxy S5 to the computer, there is no "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the system tray. As I result, I do not need to click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon when I unplugged the phone from the computer. The phone has a microSD card on it, in addition to the phone's storage (I see 2 drives when I plugged in the phone).

Is this normal for not having a "Safely Remove Hardware" icon when the Samsung Galaxy S5 is plugged in to the computer?

The storage is attached as MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) rather than as USB Mass Storage. That's why you don't have the "unmount" button (i.e. "safely remove hardware"). It is normal.
