Android phone posting 'via iOS' on Facebook

took notice of someone's post on Facebook on my feed, showing up 'Via iOS' in the description, yet it's obvious it came from an Android phone, since the cluttered notification bar up top and nav bar on the bottom gave it away. is this a new glitch or are all phones using Facebook posting as 'via iOS?'

Maybe Apple is paying them off to show that :p. I wouldn't doubt it.

dolphin browser (and probably others) lets you set the "user agent" as android, desktop, iphone, ipad, etc.

could be something like that or a glitch.

.. or maybe that someone is trying to pretend they have an iPhone. Some people seem to think they're cooler

They're certainly more expensive - than my phone, anyway :D

I found a website that lets you post via whatever the hell you want. I've posted via Toaster, water heater, etc.

If you hear anything from my toaster, ignore it - we never got along

The higher the number, the blacker the toast... It think that's how it works anyway. You really should try getting along with it. Because if it breaks and you have to fix it, it could turn into a time machine and you could kill a bug or something and the consequences will be dire...

it was the Facebook app from the screenshot.

I might prefer the iPhone launcher and status bar up top (which is why i have it installed) but it's obvious my phone is a Samsung. there are certain apps that i have that don't exist on iOS and i love my notification LED colors (great silent alerts) so i just cannot justify giving it up for an iPhone.

A friend i'm on vacation with has an iPhone and he cannot even change his wifi sleep policy to 'never' like i can, which is causing him a bit of frustration as it keeps losing the connection and is using up his data plan.
