Android phone Specs for reading pdf files

Please anyone tell me what should be the minimum phone's hardware specifications and minimum android version for reading pdf files on my android phone? Please reply as soon as possible.
 
It may depend on the size of the PDF file, but I would have thought most droids can cope no problem - I could certainly do it on my old Desire which had hardly any RAM and a pretty feeble processor
