android phone suggestion? i'm newbie.

i want to ask to all of you any suggestion for android phone that is much like ipod touch 4th generation in gaming experience. i like camera that is as much as 5 megapixels and that is not too much expensive. i prefer now samsung..

Your choices are aomewhat restricted by your choice of carriers and what works on their network. You didn't specify a carrier. Why don't you check their website and see what phones they offer? Also, Google is your friend.

Ok, then probably the best option (my opinion of course) is the samsung galaxy s II. Best phone out there today for gaming and probably everything else. Not sure of the price but it should make you happy.

samsung galaxy s II is too big for my pocket haha.. i've seen samsung galaxy ace with the size same as iphone.. is that a good phone?? by the way, thanks for your suggestion.. ^_^

I haven't used it myself so I can't really say. I'd recommend googling reviews for it and see if any body has reviewed the gaming capabilities of it. Also checking YouTube for some video reviews might help.

I'm from Philippines

Galaxy S or Galaxy SL (in Philippines Samsung Store refers to it as Galaxy S-LCD version).

Galaxy Ace is around 14k in peso, while SL is 18k. Advantages of SL is that it has a higher resolution screen and 1ghz CPU and a dedicated GPU. A Galaxy Ace only has an 800Mhz CPU and no GPU, so its gaming capabilities is not up to par with an iPhone. It has a 4inch SLCD screen as well, superb and very nice compared to regular LCD that Galaxy Ace uses.

Galaxy S on the other hand costs 25k pesos, and looks exactly like a Galaxy SL, except that it has a better graphics chip and an AMOLED screen, so better display and better gaming capabilities as well.

All three mentioned has a 5mp camera but no flash.

ahh. i see. but the 4inch screen is too big FOR my standards.. haha.. but i will list your suggestion to my second option.. thanks.

I dont think there are any phones in the Philippines available with less than 4inch screens that has iPhone level gaming capabilities. Androids tend to be "the bigger the phone, the better its specs".

The closest thing you can get to an iPhone4 capability in gaming that is smaller than 4inches are the 3.7inchers: Sony Xperia Neo, HTC Desire Z, HTC Desire S. These have weaker GPUs than a Samsung Galaxy S, but they'd do well enough for most games. The two HTCs I know are available in the Philippines (I saw them at Festival Mall Alabang for around 19-23k), while the Neo I''m not so sure.
