Android Phones from Ali Express

[RebornPoet07]

I want to get an android phone that isn't too expensive that I can video chat on. Would I be able to use an android phone from Ali Express that is GSM, dual sim, and unlocked on Straight Talk? Can I video chat on a phone from there with dual cameras?

Go for the Galaxy S2 on straight talk if that is the route you want to go. it's $250 straight up. Anything cheaper will likely bee too low end to handle video chats. Never heard of all express, but I envision cheap Chinese phones, which I never recommend.

I can't afford to buy the Samsung Galaxy S II for $250.

If you plan on buying an cheap knock-off phone then I point towards this post: http://androidforums.com/android-lounge/631594-off-brand-phones-tablets-worth-low-cost.html

IMO the GSII is overpriced for what it is now. I would stalk craigslist for a phone.

Ali Express is the consumer sales arm of Alibaba of Hangzhou, a Chinese B2B site. Yup, NOT recommended and all sales are caveat emptor(buyer beware).

Then as others say, try CL. I check it everyday for deals and regularly see older phones for around $100, and top end phones like the GS3 for ~$275.

Or, save up for a few months and buy a better phone. You really get what you pay for with technology. If there's no urgent need for a smartphone, no need to buy a cheap device.
