Please post the model and carrier for your phone so we can direct you to the right place to get help. Thanks, and hang in there, it's not as bad as you think. :D

A)what apps did you delete?
B)can you find a stock image of your phone or did you backup your phone?

Chances are you have deleted some app which was important .
As an attempt ,try flashing gapps from recovery .
Chances are ,the force closes and setup will be repaired.

a) i deleted launcher,browser,file manager,dialer,contacts,messaging,gmail,yahoo messenger,ebuddy,nimbuzz,spice gang etc...

b)no i didnt back up my phone and my phone company isnt so famous worldwide so i cant get the stock image

how to flash gapps from recovery?:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

pls help :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

gapps will not bring back what you deleted. You deleted some very important system files.

After you rooted, did you make a backup of your ROM? If you did then your best option is to restore you backup from the recovery screen.

If you did not create a backup you can either hope someone has the APK files for these or find a custom ROM for your phone and install a new ROM.

Be 100000% sure you know exactly what it is you are deleting. If you have ANY doubt about a file leave it be.

Um, you deleted all the important files which are necessary for running Android on your phone. Search around online and you should be able to find a copy of the ROM floating around out there.

I tried googling an answer for you. This is a hard phone to find any info for.

You can try pushing clockwork to your phone via adb (I'm not good at that, fyi) but I haven't found any post that says that it's compatible for your phone though. I could only confirm that it works with other models like the mi-310. So if you can use the same one, then you can push a custom ROM to your phone to see if you can bring it back to life.

There are threads at XDA that I found and also one that was on an Indonesian forum. :o

Yes, you can back up his ROM onto your PC and then reinstall it onto your device. You will need to download and install the Android SDK package, and use that in connection with the command prompt on your PC. Make sure that you put a copy of the ROM backup on a micro sd card under a file named "backup," and make sure you put the card in your phone before plugging it into the computer.
You will want to use the command prompt to put your device into recovery mode. From there you should get a list of options on your phone. Choose the backup/restore option and then select the backup file you want to install.

Download Android SDK to your pC
Connect his phone to your PC\
use this command from the android SDK folder .
(
Code:
C:/program files/Android/platform-tools/>adb pull /system/app/* C:\backup

I have attached the necessary ADB files .unzip and run cmd.exe .
Connect Your Friend's phone
Command
Code:
adb pull /system/app/* /Backup

That will be the total system app backup

Copy the files(all apks) to your SD card in folder named Abackup
Connect your phone
Code:
adb shell
$su
#busybox mount rw,remount /system
#cp /sdcard/Abackup/* /system/app/*
#chmod 755 /system/app/*

thnks karandpr but i wanted to know that
a) i can do that with my friend's phone but my phone isnt working so how will i be able to connect my phone usb debugging will not work
b) cant i do by putting my friends phone into recovery mode and then apply backup and then in my phones recovery mode click restore and install my friend's phone back up file will that work?

No no .
You need a custom recovery to use the "nandroid" backup/restore option .
Your situation is pretty bleak :/

Lets start with the absolute basic .
Can you access adb shell of your phone ?
(pray that your USB debugging is by default ON )
If yes ,my method above will work .
If No

Situation one

Check whether you can use update.zip option(try the Superuser one ?

if you find one update.zip which works >_> then just upload the blank zip and the /system/app files and I will make you one update.zip

if the update.zip doesnt work ,then the alternative method involves ,chances of bricking the phone (or your friends )

Just check if any update.zip works :D

Before I forget ,you can use fastboot mode to restore system
You will first need you friend's phone to
first we will need the mount points
run this commands
Code:
$su
#cat proc/mtd (some information will display)
[QUOTE]dev: size erasesize name
mtd0: 000a0000 00020000 "misc"
mtd1: 00480000 00020000 "recovery"
mtd2: 00300000 00020000 "boot"
mtd3: 0fa00000 00020000 "system"
mtd4: 02800000 00020000 "cache"
mtd5: 093a0000 00020000 "userdata"[/QUOTE]
(check the partition which says system,I am assuming mtd3 as example !! )
#dd if=/dev/mtd/mtd3 of=/sdcard/system.img bs=4096
It should be more than 100 MB .
recover the file from your friend's phone .
copy it to your phone

use in fastboot mode
[code]fastboot flash system system.img

Actually, since you can get your phone into recovery mode, you can restore the backup as long as there is a copy of the backup on you're storage card. You have to be absolutely certain that the backup file is saved in the correct file first though.
I know it can be done this way because I just fixed my bricked LG MyTouch the same way.

Here is a link to my DropBox for a folder that I have named "Pull System" on my computer. I used it to pull copies of all the apk's and other files/folders from the /system on my Droid 2 and Droid Charge to the folder on my computer. That way I have everything from the /system folder on the phones at my beck and call.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35546129/Pull system.zip

Just download it an unzip it on your desktop.
Read the ReadMe.txt to get your phone recognized by your computer via USB.

From inside the folder I typed:
adb devices
adb pull /system/* /system/.

All the files and folders in /system on the good phone are placed in the folder System inside the folder System in the Pull System folder.

I can mass install the files back to /system on either phone with the command:
adb devices
adb push system/* /system/.

or push individual files/folders to the phone:
adb devices
adb push system/whatever.apk /system/.

If the phone is not recognized by the computer there are in the Readme.txt file that will guide you into a remedy.

I do not know where I got the folder from or who authored it, so I can not credit the author. I do not remember the original name of the folder. I renamed it on my computer for my own clarification as to what it does.

Hope it helps in that you can use it to pull the /system folder off your friends phone and then copy it directly to your phone if you can get the computer and adb to recognize the phone.

a) i deleted launcher,browser,file manager,dialer,contacts,messaging,gmail,yahoo messenger,ebuddy,nimbuzz,spice gang etc...

Stupid question, but why would you remove Launcher, Browser, Dialer, Contacts, and Messaging from your phone? Thats everything that makes up a SMARTphone

I wonder if I were to send him my /system and he could adb push the files/folders, would that make his phone work? as long as he keeps his build.prop in tact it might replace enough to at least let him do an sbf or oden, or allow him to then push the /system from his friends phone to his.

I just did some research. connect the mi 280 to a computer via USB. See if the computer recognizes it as a hard drive. if so fine. if not then we need to see if U can use adb to recognize it. if U do not have adb or the sdk, i have a work around. Download the "pull system" folder I linked in an earlier post.. Unzip it to the desktop. Open the folder and then double click the file cmd.exe. then type in
adb devices
hopefully it will see ur phone. let me know if it does and then I will tell U what to do next.

I need to know what version of Android is on ur phone 2.3, 2.6 etc so I can pull the appropriate files from a system.img file for the AVD emulator.

we can fix it.

He has Gingerbread . the USB debugging couldn't be accessed so the adb route was not an option .
The recovery failed to accept the update.zip due to "signature error " .
The recovery is secured so cant edit the system .

fastboot seems the only option .

Crud! I know nothing about fastboot. i have tried to mess with it on both of my phones. No luck cause I.do not understand what it is and do not want to.really learn. Guess I am gona have to make myself figure it out.

I have figured out the emulator. I have a permently rooted 2.3 @ 2.6 with google services, the Market and all the bells and.whistles of.a.real phone. I need to tinker withe the build.prop file so I.can make the Market think the emulator.is a real phone, but I got sidetracked trying to get the same things on 4.0. I think I have corrupted my api 15 sdk.files, cause once I.had a working Market and Gmail but I tinkered and now I get Android.whatever has stopped working messages in Gmail and Market.
Plus the 2.2/2.3 root method does not.work on ICS. And I have to use a .bat file that launches the AVD with a partition size of 250 or higher to make anything other than stock work on emulator.

My experience with the Emulator makes me think we should be able to replace OP's /SYSTEM with a generic 2.6 / system. But if adb does not.see device then the readme.txt file.in link I posted earlier gives ways to.help computer see it. Want to.try it.

It's a catch 22 situation .
Debugging mode is off, recovery is secured .
No way to modify /system without fastboot or some flashing tool .

I am having the same phone and I want to root my phone. I have tried with steps instructed in another thread but failed so any one please guide me.
