I was given an Android Concord for my birthday (January 1st) and about a week and a half after getting it, it started randomly turning off. I have been doing factory resets and taking out the battery when this happens but the next day, it randomly turns off. It has done this about 12-20 times ever since I have gotten the phone and it's January 24 today.

Install a battery monitoring app that graphs the battery voltage. Let it run. If rbrty time the phone turns off, the graph shows a huge drop in battery voltage, you have a defective battery (it's got an internal short called a dendrite). According to the wwarranty, manufacturing defects are covered (and this is due to dirt in the clean room where the battery was made, so it's definitely a manufacturing defect), but the vendor might not see it that way. (The good news is that good batteries are pretty cheap.)
