So I got X10 about a week ago and until now I've been reading about rooting and all that comes with it, but I still don't know where to start. I see lots of guides but they are all at least 4 or more months old and I don't know if they can be used today.
The other thing, does rooting just "unlock" device fully and leaves everything just the same or it requiers reinstall of the os and changes the os completely?
I'm just too confused atm and really don't know where to start.
The main thing I want from my phone is to be snappier and faster and I've read that this version is pretty good and with minimal amount of bugs:

Pls help me out or at least point me in the right direction.
