Android screens

When I got my first droid, I put getting a shield at the top of the to-do list. But I kept putting it off and now, two years later, I never got a shield and the screen still looks brand new... knock on wood.

i tend to avoid keeping it in the same pocket as the one with coins, keys, knives, etc. my phone has no gorilla glass and still looks new despite my mechanic's job, but the poor Optimus V i had before got bashed in the same pocket as tools, keys, coins and before long the screen was atrocious. screen protectors always have that annoying bubble effect or dirt gets trapped under them or they make the screen look 'cloudy' like a dirty fish tank but that's me. i tend to make sure my device remains in an empty jeans pocket

Any phone screen can get scratched, some are just easier than others. Gorilla glass 2 is pretty resistant and I dont use screen protectors with it but i did with previous screens. So the answer really depends on which phone you have, like everything, the more you pay the more you get out of it.
