I research about screen shots for Android. All the application s for screen shot needs root privileges. Why they need root privileges? It is not logical...

If you use MyPhoneExplorer, you can take a screenshot of your device.

It can also be done using the Android SDK, but using MPE is probably easier.

If you own a Samsung Galaxy phone, just press and hold back+home for screen shot

I need to write an application as homework. Is there any API to do that without root? (I need to do that also for ipad,iphone but they have the same problem too)..
