Help Android Security Concern

Avast claims to fix the problem they found, you could try their app.

Personally, I doubt anyone buying your phone will perform deep forensics on it.

But Avast is evidently providing the cure if you need it.

yes i read about their anti-theft software. I've downloaded it but i want to make sure i don't have crap in my phone before that. so when i've used their app i can recheck they are gone. else how would i confirm?

i had another question about these social apps. well i used skype, bbm and emails to send files all password protected. how safe are they? accessible to hackers even though they were deleted as soon as possible?

Without some sort of forensics, you can't.

People would pay good money (and they often do, getting ripped off in the process because no one is actually doing it in the field) to be able to restore precious photos they lost from internal storage.

SD cards are weaker unless you encrypt them.

The FBI has been hacked.

I'm not going to sit here and tell you that your smartphone is safer.

But I will say that the FBI is a target for a reason.

Beyond reasonable, there's not a lot you can do.

The Blackphone was hacked recently.

Here's some stuff.
