Android settings language and input spellchecke

Update: could someone please post a screenshot of what this spell checker actually does / how it works?

and when clicking on the settings / what the options are?

like on droid 3 - default keyboard with spell checker would underline misspelled words with red .. system wide .. in all apps .. like on blackberry .. or in Firefox or Chrome ..

Yup, it's on my Moto X.
If you select settings it pulls up 'Google spell checker' and if you pull up those settings it has 'look up contact names'.

It's not uncommon for manufacturers to move things around in the menus. Have you tried looking under Settings > Controls > Language and Input > Samsung Keyboard?

I don't think it's included in touchwiz (Samsung's OS)
It wasn't when I used it.
I never understood why....

Maybe because Google keyboard isn't on TouchWiz, and the Samsung Keyboard has its own autocorrect.

i guess that makes sense, even tho spell check DOES work with other keyboards.
