android settings stopped

Hello all
i'm a noobi? whatever this is my very first smartphone i love it however just started giving me a headache yesterday i moved my google quick search box and now i cant find it so tried holding finger on homescreen to acess android widgets but just get message The application Settings(process com.android.settings)has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close I have tried again and again to no avail.also my android market sometimes fails to recognise my Apps so wont update? sorry its a samsung galaxy apollo
I would greatly appreciate any and all help

Welcome to Android Forums!

Have you tried rebooting your phone? Sometimes that can clear up simple app conflicts. If that doesn't help the good folks over in Samsung Galaxy Apollo (3) - Android Forums can give you some better suggestions. Good luck.
