Apps Android SMS Verification Code

Can somebody please help me. I'm trying to research about sms verification code for my project but unfortunately it's so hard to research about it. This sms verification code is just like we are using android apps. For example in WeChat or KakaoTalk, they asking for our cellphone and then it will receive an code to access to the next page.
