Help Android Sound Effect "Ok Google", Where is it?

[tim2d2]

So I've become obsessed with customizing all sound effects on my new Nexus 5 phone. I've found the "system/media/audio/ui" folder and hooked it up with some neato sound effects. However there is one sound effect I can't find.

When you say "ok google" it makes a sound. For the life of me I can not find where these sound effects are when you say "ok google" and the voice recognition feature pops up with its little chirp. Can anyone help me find where I can go to mod that sound effect?

I'm also looking for the sound effect when you dial a number on the phone pad. Please help if you know where this is.

Thank you !!!!

They are probably in /system/audio. I know you need root access to make any modifications, but you might be able to copy files if a file explorer will give you read access. It has been so long since I didn't have root access, I don't remember if you can view system files without root.

I spent the last (I **** you not) 5 hours looking for the same sound file. I'm trying to copy it for use with the Google voice recognition Chrome extension. The existing one is very loud and acoustically sharp to the point where it actually hurts your ears should you be wearing headphones.

If someone happens upon the file path to the sound file or a URL from which it can be downloaded PLEASE HELP. I could always record it with the laptop sound array but I'm a bit of an audiophile and the lack of quality would probably piss me off more than the existing sound (especially when I know that it's hiding on my phone somewhere).

It'll be a .ogg file.

Maybe a file manager app might let you find using *.ogg
