Hi,

I am new to Android and hope that I can get some answer from there. I just bought a new android phone (Samsung Galaxy Tab, running on Android 2.2) and in the Setting->Wireless and network->Synchronize page, the system allow us to key in the sync server when you try to create a new profile. Below are some of the questions that I have.

1. What data it synchronize?
2. What is the different with the Setting->Accounts and Sync feature?
3. In the profile there is a sync server URL? Is there any free server that provide this service? If yes, what is the URL?
4. Is it possible for us to setup our own server for synchronization purpose? If yes, where can we download the server software?

Please advise, thank you.

Did you ever get a reply to your above question? I'm wondering too...

I think that parts for the Exchange Server users? Not sure, I never used it, but the Exchange on Nokia used to asked for the same stuff.
