Hi
Does anyone know if there is an app for getting rid of old files that have been left behind when uninstalling apps that are no longer needed?

I know that most OS usually leave behind the odd files, so just wanna get rid of the crap!!

thanks

I was always wondering why there wasn't a good utility to get rid of orpan files, fix issues like invalid shortcuts, address startup programs, like I had on my Palm and most other operating systems. I wish I knew the first thing about programing.

Astro will get rid of those files like any file manager but will not identify orphaned files (sometimes tricky when they are nested with other files).

How bad is that on Android? I'm always a little hesitant to just download and try apps I may not have a ton of interest in, on the assumption that I'm probably losing space or speed if they don't clean up after themselves well. Or maybe that just my Windows mindset kicking in ... perhaps Android is smarter about such things?

Tried Astro but it keeps FC on me!
I am trying AndroXpolre at the moment and that seems to be ok but like others have mentioned, dont know if there is any orphaned files nested elsewhere.
Maybe it is the mindset of windows but i did find files from apps that i uninstalled many months ago, so looks like android OS does not clear up files after itself
Just hope someone can come up with an app to do this
