Android System?

My SO and I both have EVOs -- his battery drains about twice as fast as mine. His app list is here: Kevdog83's Apps on the PC36100 When he checks "Battery Use", Android System is consistently 85-90% of usage, while Cell Standby and Phone Idle are typically the two biggest items for my usage.

Any ideas what runs under the umbrella of "Android System" that may be killing his battery? Ideas of things to check? We would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

So obviously from that list he is rooted and has not installed the update. What does he have his Facebook syncing set to? SOme phones were showing Facebook getting stuck updating and keeping the phone awake which is one of the things the update addressed. Changing Facebook syncing to once per day, not using Friend Stream, and not syncing Timeline helps greatly. Worse case hard reset. He only has 15 Apps accroding to that so it isn't that big of a pain to do
 
I have the recent OTA update if that is what you are asking. I would say anything having to constantly sync can easily kill a battery.

Unrevoked root only, no OTA update. Facebook Refresh interval set to "Never". Friendstream is not used.

What is Timeline? part of Friendstream?

The OTA update should fix the facebook issue, if you don't want to do that then turn OFF facebook syncing completely (uncheck contacts and live feed).
