android tablet + internet modem

Hello,

I just bought a low-end tablet which comes with wi-fi support, but no 3g...
It has a USB adapter, so I thought of trying to connect my internet 3g modem to this tablet via USB.

It wasn't recognized. I got the message:"damaged device..."

Then I tried to create an APN. I completed all the required fields, "click" the save option/button, but nothing happened. I believe the settings were not saved at all...

Could you please help me?

Android does not natively support USB modems, so your low end device won't work with it. You need a WiFi connection.
