Android tablet touch not working

I recently purchased an Android Tablet ICS 4.0 and from day one the 'Touch' has not worked. The tablet works fine with a mouse connected but WILL NOT respond to touch in any way. I have reset to factory defaults several times but to no avail. I have sent numerous messages to the place where I bought it but they will not answer any of my messages. I have learnt a BIG lesson from that.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to get the 'Touch' to work as the Tablet is practically useless if I can only use it with a mouse connected.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Hey Margaret I would say your best bet is to CALL THEM and tell them it doesn't work or even just send it back and request your money and buy elsewhere
