Hi
I am not exactly sure if I am in the right part of this forum but it is android related. My tablet is Samsung Galaxy Tab T230NU. I installed something off market a emulator. sadly stupid me. I got some form of virus, I tried reinstalling android at a fail, there is a 1 gb update for my tablet I am guessing the next OS since it's been rolling out for months which I just found out through Kies. My tablet is charging right now for the update and I was wondering when I put the update on it will it wipe everything before even this stupid virus I somehow got on it? I am not totally 100% experienced with Android but if I can get some help it would be greatly appreciated

Thank you!

Yes it should clear the virus even if its one of the nasties that root your device and instals malware into system files.
If you want to put your mind at rest do a scan with something like Malwarebytes after the upgrade,

Thank you, I had a heck of a time trying to get rid of it, its still on there but its charging still and shut down.. there was about 3 viruses that rooted itself in and sending me popups of all sorts everywhere automatically installing programs, it was a nightmare. Lagged the lollipops out of my tablet!
