Hi. My boy has forgot his passcode patern for his scroll essential tablet. Is there any way of getting into it please?

After you try to unsuccessfully log in 5 times, the tablet should ask if you have forgotten the pattern and give you the option of logging into the tablet using the Google account used when you first set up the device.

Hi mate. Does it have to be the same address as set it up in the first place coz he can't remember who's he used. This was christmas morning and there was 4 of them flying around and big bro was setting them up lol.

Yes, the same one as it was set up on.

The other option is to factory reset the device. It'll delete all apps and settings and require you to set up the device again and reinstall everything. Plus game saves and whatnot will be cleared out. But you can do that by turning off the device, holding volume down and turning it on again. Then you should see an Android with a ! behind it. Push power button once and you should see a few options. One should be factory reset. Use volume to scroll to it and push power.

If that doesn't work, consult your manual. It should have directions for factory reset. If it doesn't have a manual, put what the device is into Google and you should find a manufacturer's website pretty quickly.
