Help Android update date?

Anyone know when this'll be released? I've heard June or July, but no word for sure yet.
 
My LG PC Suite says there is a software update available for the phone, but it then opens LGMobile update and says there isn't one, I think it maybe FINALLY being rolled out though but a little ahead of itself

Tried the update check via the phone to no avail :(
 
last check with the local LG agent they said should be sept. But sept came and went still no 2.3 updates.

Quite interesting info i found browsing the interwebs. LG has said it will release it's android 2.3 update in UK on october and at the same time the new phones from example HTC are being released with the newer IceCreamSandwich (as compared to the LG's competitor Optimus 3d which still runs android 2.2 froyo). Also LG is releasing the optimus black (p970) US version called Marquee LS855 right about now and that phone is fitted with the android 2.3 on release! ..lovely.. :confused:
