Hey, i just looked for an updates on my phone, and it says that i have to use a computert to update my phone.
Does it means that android 2.1 is available?
 
Well, the updates you had were maybe for application you have, you can't just update the firmware of the phone wirelessly because it's an update of the OS (Operating System) and you can't run the OS while it's updating itself
 
I already called sony ericsson customer service , they say is going to launch early next year.
you can try to flash your x10 to put in the 2.1
 
well the "official" release date is 23 september 2010... worldwide...i wonder why the CS said to do it now...

errm my old magic updated the android os ota, don't know what to tell ya there..

I have SE Xperia Handset.Complete Details are as below :-)
Model Number: X10i
FirmWare Version: 1.6
Baseband version: 1.1.31
Kernel Verion: 2.6.29-rel (semc-android@SEMC #2)
Build number: R2BA026


Can I upgrade android OS to its latest version? If yes then what is the procedure?

You are currently on the latest firmware. The 2.1 Firmware will be released during the next week but it will depend on what carrier you are with how quickly it will be available on your phone. Keep an eye on the forum, the info will be updated as soon as its out there.
 
Cool.. it is gr8 news. However still one question is running in my mind. Can we upgrade OS 1.6 to 2.0? It would be nice to know ur answer. Thanks.
